Every one-way rental strands a car somewhere it doesn't belong. Right now, another company is moving a car the opposite way on the same road, on the same day — and neither of you knows it. Xpert Move finds that match.
Built by people who run a rent-a-car fleet, for people who run one.
How it works
Post the move in one line — where from, where to, when. Xpert Move scans every open move across the network and proposes the pairings that actually work. Both sides confirm before anything is agreed.
You need a car brought back from the coast. They need one taken there. One driver drives yours out and theirs back. Two empty legs disappear, nobody pays anybody.
Someone needs to get to the airport to collect a vehicle. You need a car moved on exactly that route. They drive it. Two problems, one solution.
Your driver is making the trip anyway with three empty seats. Their driver needs to get to the same place to start a job. The seat costs you nothing.
The hardest part of a transfer isn't the drive out — it's getting the driver home. A car or a seat heading the other way closes the loop.
The numbers
Before writing a line of the matching engine, we analysed 1,592 real one-way vehicle movements across the region over eleven months — every route, every date, every empty return leg they created.
of empty repositioning legs had a counterpart running the opposite way within ±1 day. Widening the window to three days reaches 57% — but a one-day window is what people can actually agree on.
And that was inside a single fleet. The whole point of a network is that the pool gets deeper with every company that joins.
Trust
That only works if nobody can misuse it. Xpert Move is built so that companies can cooperate on empty legs without exposing anything else about how they operate.
Every company is checked against its tax number before it can take a vehicle. Trust sits with the company, not with whoever happens to be driving.
Phone numbers of the company and the driver are revealed only once both sides have accepted the match. Before that, nobody is harvesting anybody's contacts.
Favours are tracked. Drive someone's car and you're a credit up; have yours driven and you're a credit down. No money changes hands unless you want it to.
Fuel, odometer, up to four photos and a signature at pickup and at drop-off. Condition disputes end before they start.
Preferred partners get priority in matching. Anyone you'd rather not work with can be excluded — and neither of you sees the other's moves again.
Companies and drivers rate each other after a completed transfer. Published only once both have rated, so nobody rates out of spite.
Who it's for
You have one-way rentals and the cars come back on your dime. Post the return leg the moment the booking lands — six days of notice is six days for a match to appear.
Smaller fleets move vehicles constantly and rarely fill the trip in both directions. The corridors you already drive are the busiest ones on the network.
If moving other people's vehicles is what you do for a living, this is a queue of paid work on routes you already run — with the rates agreed up front.
